Another Baby - Ace of Base (Piwi&Late Remix) TEASER
I keep saying that we will be releasing our new tracks SOON, however Juano is a perfectionist and will not let me share our music until it is dead on perfect.. AND SO it does not look like we will be having our full release for a few more weeks maybe in the New Year but I do have a small preview of one of my favorite tracks we are working on.
For all those 90's kids & lovers here is a snippet of our re-make/remix of the outstanding 'All that she wants' by Ace of Base... I hope you ENJOY!

Shopping and Stereo and Shopping
Quality mother daughter time and crazy partying are not usually two things that go together (unless you’re the Ridges) but it seems to be the perfect way to describe my amazing long weekend away in Melbourne.
Our trip started with a 6:30am flight out of Auckland allowing Mum and I a full day of shopping yeee! After checking into our perfectly suited 2 bedroom apartment in Little Lonsdale Street, we set off to Bourke Street Mall where we spent the majority of our time in chain stores you just wished would make the final move over the ditch to NZ; Zara, Sportsgirl, General Pants Co, Bardot…sigh.
After a very well earned sleep, we started our Saturday morning at Federal Coffee Palace for some of the best coffee in Melbourne and the most divine bircher muesli before visiting the Myer jewelry and shoe departments.
Reluctantly I bid farewell to mum to meet up with my long time friend Lisa. We made our way to our friends place in Northcote (pronounced north-cut in Australia, filth) where we “sipped” a few champagnes before making our way to Stereosonic. My favourite act at Stereo was by far Carl Cox who was conveniently playing in a tent when the rain decided to pour down!
After shopping all morning and dancing all afternoon/evening I am still surprised I managed to wake up early on Sunday to spend another full day shopping! But I guess I had too, I was in Melbourne after all! Mum and I spent the day exploring the arcades and laneways off Little Collins Street, Collins Street and Flinders Lane where I could only admire the amazing designer clothing and footwear on offer while mum was able to treat herself to some lovely shoes. Monday morning was spent (you guessed it!) shopping before making our way to the airport for our flight home.
If you haven’t been to Melbourne before, I highly recommend booking some of the cheap flights that pop up often and get yourself over there. Apart from the shopping, Melbourne also has awesome restaurants, shows, museums and art galleries worth visiting. But when the shopping is so good, why do anything else? For more information about Melbourne visit www.visitmelbourne.com and keep checking www.airnewzealand.co.nz for flight deals!

Creamy coconut & turmeric hot drink
Today I whipped up a delicious creamy hot drink using of course TURMERIC! This is a really festive and spicy drink - perfect after a meal as a great substitute to a coffee.
I cannot stress enough how awesome I think this spice is - Every day I am reading more and more research that backs up all the great things I have heard about Turmeric - especially it's anti-inflammatory & anti-oxidant properties.
It is a beautiful hot day here now in Auckland but earlier it was grey and rainy so I thought this would be a lovely drink to warm you from the inside out. I would also recommend this if you have a sore throat or any kind of cold or virus. The spices and warm temperature of the drink really work there magic here!
Serving is for 2 people :)
Ingredients:
1 can 300ml Coconut milk
For each cup put:
1/2 tsp Turmeric
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1 tsp Honey
A sprinkle of Cayenne pepper
Boiling water to top up the cup
Method:
1. Heat up the coconut milk in a medium saucepan until almost boiling
2. In each cup place the spices, honey and cayenne pepper
3. Pour a small amount of the hot coconut milk into each cup (3cm from bottom) and blend with the spices, honey and cayenne.
4. Once all ingredients are blended top up the cups with the remaining coconut milk and boiling water
5. Enjoy!

Doing it old-school - Plum Jam
There is an old Plum tree in the back of my parents garden and since last week it has started producing some lovely sweet yellow plums (red skinned). We have a community of regular local birds so every morning I have been getting up and going to the garden to do some 'plumbing'.
I have collected quite a lot and it did involve some tree-climbing which was fun! However my family as I mentioned before do not eat sugar and this includes fruit sugar so it could potentially be wasted... Then I thought I could make it into some jam and give it to my fellow wolverine bloggets for an early Christmas present.
Good old fashioned Plum jam - Easy & cheap ;)
This recipe makes approximately 2x 300mls Jars
Ingredients:
900g Plums (whole & washed)
700g White sugar (warmed)
1 1/4 cups Hot water
Method:
1. Place plums whole into large heavy based saucepan - The larger the better really! Add water and simmer lightly for around 20 minutes.
2. At the same time put the sugar in a flat oven tray and warm on a low temperature (100 degrees celsius) for 10 minutes
3. The plums should start to fall apart - start removing stones from the mixture
4. Add the warm sugar to the plums and stir slowly until all sugar has disolved.
5. Turn up the heat till the mixture starts to boil rapidly and do not stop stirring
6. Boil and stir for around 10-15 minutes
7. Test the consistency of the jam by drizzling a bit on a pre-refrigerated plate and put in the fridge for 2 minutes.
8. Take out of the fridge and run your finger through it to see if it is thick enough for your liking
9. Once at the consistency you want - Pour into steralised warmed jars and seal with the lid
10. Cool and label :)
